New Delhi, Dec 4 (IBNS) Former Army chief V K Singh on Tuesday joined a protest by sugar cane farmers led by Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan (RKMS) on the street near Parliament.
The RKMS, which called for a Parliament gherao programme, is demanding that the Rangarajan Committee report on decontrolling the sugar sector should be rejected.
RKMS said the recommendation to abolish state advisory price and cane reservatin area will hit the cane growers of northern states badly.
