UP polls: Ajit Singh to meet Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Dec 10 (IBNS): Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh is likely to meet Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi over the weekend to ensure a political tie-up between the two parties for the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, media reports said on Saturday.
Earlier, Singh met Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi to seal the deal over the alliance between the two parties.
According to reports, RLD might be given 48 seats in western Uttar Pradesh and five seats in the rest of UP.
Uttar Pradesh has 403 assembly constituencies.
The North Indian state will go for Assembly elections in 2012.
