New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS): Former Indian President, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam on Wednesday was presented with the first copy of the book 'Narendra Modi: The Man The Times' by the author Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay, here.
'Narendra Modi: The Man The Times' penned by veteran journalist and writer Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay and published by Westland Ltd, is a definitive biography of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
The book chronicles Modi’s life in the background of RSS and BJP, the way these organizations functioned and continue to function and the politics thereof.
Present on the occasion was Sudha Sadanand of Westland Ltd.
It is the only book on Modi with hitherto unknown aspects of his life - early childhood, youth, renunciation, rise in politics, his struggles, his “failed” marriage, and his eventual win, said an official spokesperson.
"A first time peek into rare pictures of Modi from a slim and emaciated young man to a confident CM of Gujarat. There is also a comprehensive look at Gujarat’s progress under Modi’s regime complete with figures and statistics," said the spokesperson.
