Kolkata, Dec 23 (IBNS): Painter Rupa Mitra Friday inaugurated a painting exhibition on ‘Empowered Women’ at Oxford Bookstore, here.
Present on the occasion were communication consultant Rita Bhimani and contemporary master painter Wasim Kapoor.
The paintings of the exhibition revealed the embodiment of the spirit and power of women.
The colour of the painting illustrated the power of women.
Rupa Mitra’s painting in various hues of colour, reflected her vision and feelings about various facets of a woman.
Her creativity showcased a sense of mysticism and the intimate passions of feminine love and inspired and enlightened the mind about women.
The exhibition aimed to showcase the combination of arts-based research and art therapy in women empowerment.
The art meant to inspire women with the courage to break free from the chains of limiting beliefs, patterns and societal and religious conditions that have traditionally kept women suppressed and unable to realize their true beauty and power.
