Kolkata, Nov 10 (IBNS): Tollywood queen Rituparna Sengupta on Friday unveiled the five day-long exhibit on metal and diamond collections of timepieces by international watchmaking brand Omega.
"We arrange for the Basel International Watch Exhibition every year where we showcase what we are going to launch for the present year. Here we have few watches from Carnet on exhibition which are not regular ones at sale but on demand we can can supply," informed Brand Manager Omega P.H. Narayanan.
"We have both kind of watch lovers in Kolkata- basic customers as well as knowledgeable ones, who are conscious of the latest variants. East is a growing market for us with a contribution of around 30% while India alone contributes to about 25%. Constellations sell very well across India," he added.
The watches that cater to niche customers have incorporated a story in every piece like Deville Tourbillion with the charm of red gold or the elegance and mechanical innovation of Deville Central Tourbillion Co-Axial Chronometer among others.
Speaking on the luxury brand, Rituparna said,"Omega is a premium brand which speaks of prestige, splendour and is a prized possession for anybody. The new collections are women-attracting with diamond embellishments and precious stones."
"I love watches because they are not only timepieces but also act as accessories and fashion statements.But I would also suggest everyone to do a research before you come to the store because watches also contribute to the personal styling," she added.
On being asked about time-travel concept in films, the actress said,"I am very much fond of such movies, like 'Avatar' and will definitely want such concepts to come up more in films."
While Omega ascertains grandeur and luxury for its customers on Diwali, Rituparna expresses hope for concepts like time-travel to happen in Tollywood films as well.
