Animated ‘Lava-Kusa’ launched for $5 mn

Hyderabad, Mar 12 (IBNS) Hyderabad based Rayudu Group has announced the launch of India’s first big budget 2D animation movie “Lava Kusa, The Warrior Twins”.
The production house Rayudu Vision Media Limited (RVML Animation) has come up with their first full length 2D animated feature film targeting all segments and ages of society. The animated feature is set to release in the summer of 2010.
The RVML animation production studio is based out of Hyderabad with a very efficient and talented crew. This 5 million USD 2D animated feature is India’s first big budget animated feature film releasing in four different languages (English, Hindi, Telugu & Tamil) and targets people from all age groups, claimed the makers.
There are plans to release the movie in Bengali and other regional languages.
“People know about Lord Rama, Sita matha, Lava Kusa as their twin children, but nothing about the lives of the twin warrior. Lava – Kusa as characters, are very adventurous, dedicated, and true warriors. Their stories have never been shown in the current world. This movie opens doors for the animation industry to be explored on a big scale in our own country,” said a company spokesperson.
The animated movie largely tells the story of the brave twins, their birth and the adventures they had at Sage Valmiki’s hermitage.
Joint managing director of the company Rayudu V. Sashank said, “ ‘Lava Kusa, The Warrior Twins’ a Full Length 2D animated feature is made up of songs with catchy tunes, action, comedy and characters (both human and animals) that maintain true and real friendship all over the show added with visual effects targeted for all age groups and it is definitely a good out and out family entertainer.”
The music is composed by S. L Vaidyanathan ; the five songs are sung by singers like, K. J Yesudas, Mr. Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam in Telugu and Hindi.
